Imperial Overhead Garage Door Repair – Warranty Policy
At Imperial Overhead Garage Door Repair, we take pride in delivering high-quality products and professional service throughout Allen, TX and the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Our written warranty is designed to provide clarity about what is covered, how long coverage lasts, and what steps you need to take if you need service.
This policy applies to all installations and repairs performed by Imperial Overhead Garage Door Repair and is intended to protect both our customers and our company through clear, transparent terms.
What’s Covered
New Installations – Labor & Manufacturer Protection
When we install a new garage door, you get:
- Labor Warranty: 30 days standard, or 90 days if noted on your invoice.
- Panel Coverage: 5-year manufacturer warranty on defects in materials or workmanship.
- Part Coverage: Other components are protected under their manufacturer’s warranty, and in some cases, we extend that coverage if stated on your invoice.
If there’s a covered issue, we’ll fix it — and if the part is covered, we’ll replace it at no labor cost (and no cost for the part if applicable). Service charges may apply depending on the situation.
Repairs – Keeping You Running Smoothly
When we repair your garage door, both the parts we supply and the workmanship are covered for the period noted on your invoice — 30 days standard, 90 days if specified.
If the repair fails within the warranty term, we’ll either fix the problem or replace the part. Manufacturer warranties apply to the part itself.
What’s Not Covered
To keep our warranty fair and focused, it does not apply to:
- Work or materials provided by anyone other than Imperial Overhead Garage Door Repair
- Parts altered or repaired by third parties after our service
- Cosmetic issues (scratches, dents) that don’t affect performance
- Cables that become displaced, misaligned, or disconnected after service
- Damage from misuse, neglect, civil disturbance, or Acts of God (storms, floods, fire, etc.)
- Commercial doors unless noted on the invoice
- Consequential or incidental damages (property damage, injury, lost time) — some states may not allow this exclusion
How Long Coverage Lasts
Coverage starts the day the job is completed.
- Warranty is non-transferable — if you sell your home, coverage ends.
- The exact coverage length is shown on your invoice.
- If no term is listed, the default is 30 days labor (90 days if noted).
Your Role in Keeping Coverage Active
- Keep your invoice — it’s your proof of coverage.
- Contact us right away if you have an issue.
- Perform reasonable maintenance as recommended.
